Evening at the Louvre

What I love about Paris is that you can be busy all night doing cultural things like visiting the Louvre with a good friend.

Hillary's Weekend

Walking down the Boulevard Beaumarchais I saw some great examples of street art.

This was done with chalk.

I hadn't seen these friends in 17 years...enough time to have a son and separate.

Like father like son!

Look at the man in the background with two French fries in his mouth.

"Smoking Kills" is marked on all the cigarettes. The French don't mess around.

Notice the toe tag.

On my way to the Fondation Cartier for an exhibit I got caught in a large demonstration against gay marriage and adoption. I felt like a fish going upstream.

The subway was packed! Bus loads of people from all over France were coming to demonstrate.

All students had amazing plans to share with us for the weekend: skating in the Grand Palais, the Louvre museum, shopping, etc...one student is even going to spend the weekend in Normandy! Amazing what these host families are doing for them!
Hillary's amazing photos speak for themselves, but what they don't say is that we probably walked 4 to 5 miles today. I can't feel my feet anymore. Our sister school really organized a great field trip for us; we saw it all and we are so thankful: Versailles' Les Halles market, the Royal Chapel, La Galerie des Glaces, the king's and queen's bedrooms, the Orangerie, the park, it fountains and the Grand Bassin, Le Petit Trianon and to finish Marie-Antoinette's hamlet and farm.
